Based on the values of solidarity, sharing and commitment, the International Volunteering Program (VIF) offers young Francophones, aged 21 to 34, the opportunity to put their knowledge and know-how at the disposal of a development project and to live an international mobility experience within the Francophone area. These volunteer missions are carried out within Francophone institutions wishing to benefit from the support of a volunteer for their projects.
The areas of intervention of this program fall within the framework of the Francophonie objectives:
- Promote the French language and cultural and linguistic diversity;
- Promote peace, democracy and human rights;
- Support education, training, higher education and research;
- Develop cooperation for sustainable development and solidarity.
Since the beginning of the program in 2007, nearly 250 young people have participated in this program, from 33 countries, they have achieved their mission of volunteering in more than 30 countries spread over five continents. Applications are to be submitted online in May in order to be considered.
