Science North & Dynamic Earth

Science North is an interactive science museum located in Sudbury, Ontario. It is an agency of the Government of Ontario and is a not-for-profit organization. The complex is Northern Ontario’s most popular tourist attraction and an educational resource for children and adults across the province. Science North features an IMAX® theatre, digital Planetarium, butterfly gallery and Special Exhibits Hall.

Science North also owns and operates Sudbury’s Dynamic Earth/ Terre Dynamique facility, an earth sciences exhibition which is home to the Big Nickel, one of the city’s most famous landmarks and other popular exhibits.

Camps

Keep your kids excited about science by enrolling them in one of Science North's camps offered in the summer, autumn and winter, including PA day camps, for elementary students age 4-14 years old. Science North's camps are available in Sudbury and throughout Northern Ontario: Chapleau, Cochrane, Elliot Lake, Hearst, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Kirkland Lake, North Bay, Sault Ste Marie, Sturgeon Falls,Temiskaming Shores, Thunder Bay, and Timmins.

Programs

Acknowledged as a leader among science centres, Science North provides inspirational, educational and entertaining science experiences for all to enjoy. Programs are available in English and/or French. They offer adult and teen programs in addition to a variety of children's after-school programs. Exciting programming options are available year round.

Field Trips

Science North offers a variety of field trip options for kindergarten to grade 12 students. Their team of scientists are dedicated professionals who develop and deliver hands-on, curriculum-based school programs. A class visit includes up to two hands-on school programs and up to two additional educational experiences, including Object Theatres, live science shows or the Underground Tour (at Dynamic Earth only). There is also the option to add any value-priced additional attraction which includes an IMAX film (choose either classic IMAX or IMAX 3D) and/or a digital Planetarium program experience (at Science North only). Lessons/programming are available in French upon request.
