Toronto Zoo

The Toronto Zoo is Canada’s premier zoo and the leading destination for adults with kids. Open every day except Christmas, the Toronto Zoo attracts approximately 1.3 million visitors each year and welcomes an average of 1,000 to 10,000 visitors a day. School programs are delivered by Toronto Zoo educators and are a unique and exciting way to bring the curriculum to life. A variety of programs are available for both elementary and secondary level students and range from 45-minute programs and presentations to full-day workshops. Full-day Workshops, Half-day Workshops, and Guided Tours can be delivered in French or partial French for small school groups depending on staff and Volunteer availability.

An example of a bilingual outreach experience is The Great Lakes Outreach Program. This free program is available for various grade levels and has been delivered across Southern Ontario. Details of this outreach program and other school programs can be found on the Zoo’s website.
