Canadian War Museum

The Canadian War Museum, your museum of military history, offers a wide range of learning opportunities that will fascinate students of all levels. Through historical artifacts, personal stories, artwork, photographs and interactive presentations, the Museum’s school programs help students of all ages discover Canada’s rich military history.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War, the Museum continues to present a number of special activities to complement its impressive array of permanent exhibitions. Let your students immerse themselves in a dynamic, hands-on experience that is sure to expand their knowledge of the conflicts that shaped Canada, Canadians and the world.

Programs support the Ontario and Quebec primary and secondary school curricula.  Programs closely match provincial curricula in the areas of history, geography, language, the visual arts and social studies.

Tours can be offered in English and French upon request and staff availability. The museum is located in Ottawa.
