Cinéfranco

Cinéfranco, Toronto's Francophone International Film Festival, is considered to be the most important International Francophone Film Festival in English Canada. Founded in 1997 by Marcelle Lean, it became an essential event for movie lovers and French film-enthusiasts. Cinéfranco promotes the diversity and richness of Francophone movies in order to increase their appreciation and give them more exposure in an English speaking environment. All films are screened in their original language with English subtitles.

Cinéfranco produces two main annual film festivals in Toronto: the Main Program, for all audiences in the fall (this year on October 26 – November 2) and the Youth Program for schools, suitable for students of all ages (in 2022 from February 22 until March 9.).
