Laura King- Biologist
Laura is a biologist, naturalist, educator, and outdoors woman based in St. John's Newfoundland although she can often be found travelling. She is passionate about providing scientifically accurate, fun, hands-on experiences, especially related to wildlife. Whether it's snorkeling, hiking, birding, camping, paddling, or guiding, she loves to explore every corner of our gorgeous province.
In her regular job, she creates conservation areas for migratory birds; she also volunteers as President at Nature NL, where she connects people with conservation and helps get hundreds of people outside to discover the natural world around them. Laura frequently speaks at conferences, events, and university programs and is always thinking of ways to go beyond the typical Powerpoint to make presentations more engaging.
Laura would be delighted to come and give a lecture in your school for students from grades 1 to 12!
