Rendez-vous and Mini Rendez-vous

Mini Rendez-vous

Mini Rendez-vous is a one-day “mini” conference organized by chapters of Canadian Parents for French, (CPF) in various locations offering workshops and cultural activities in French for children in kindergarten to grade five.

The program is developed by bilingual university students in consultation with the CPF–SK branch office. The day includes music, games, sports, crafts, and science activities.

Rendez-vous

Rendez-vous is a youth programming event, typically targeted at 11-12-year-olds, and it has taken on a few incarnations in the past – like a dogsledding and ice fishing excursion, a visit to a farm-based French ranch, and an astronomy based workshop.

The goal is for children to use their French in an enjoyable setting outside the structured classroom while providing opportunities for children to interact with French-speaking young people.

Micro Rendez-vous

Some chapters offer a Micro Rendez-vous for preschool children at the same time as a way to introduce them to the experience of learning in French.
