Trois – Pistoles Western University’s French Immersion School
For over eight decades, Western University and the people of Trois-Pistoles have been engaged in a partnership in language education that embodies the best of the Canadian spirit. Western University's French Immersion School is located in Trois-Pistoles, Québec, approximately 230km from Québec City. The school offers a range of non-degree courses, degree-credit language courses from elementary to advanced, challenging workshops, and a wide range of social and cultural events to its participants.
Programs at Trois-Pistoles offer a variety of activities and events that allow each student to practice their French and to experience the Québécois culture. Programs begin during the month of May to the end of August.
Programs available include:
- Immersion courses for students and adults (university degree French credit courses and non credit courses)
- French Teachers program
- Family French Immersion program which welcomes adult participants at the beginner to advanced levels of French proficiency and children aged 6 to 12 with a French immersion or French as a first language background. Participants will be immersed in a francophone environment with planned daily activities and outings.
